
Luka Šlosar, PhD (male) graduated from the Faculty of Sport, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia (25/04/2013) and obtained his PhD in Applied Kinesiology, at Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Primorska, Slovenia (19/09/2019). In his PhD he delved into the field of virtual reality and studied the influence of virtual training on the motor learning process of tennis in childhood as part of his PhD thesis. He has consolidated and refined his research at numerous national and international scientific conferences. He has published several articles in national and international scientific journals. In addition to his research work, he is also involved in teaching. As a lecturer, he regularly collaborates with the higher education institutions Physiotherapeutics and Alma Mater Europaea, where he was elected assistant professor in 2021 and appointed head of the Department of Physiotherapy in 2023 . In addition, he is member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Annales Kinesiologiae. In 2020, he continued his career as a research assistant at the Science and Research Centre (SRC) Koper. At the Institute for Kinesiology Research (IKARUS) he studies the effects of brain training on cognition, motor skills and brain function. Luka Šlosar is also actively involved in the research group of Dr. Uroš Marušič at the TwinBrain project (research and innovation programme under grant agreement No952401 – TwinBrain – TWINning the BRAIN with machine learning for neuro-muscular efficiency).
