MOVE4BRAIN: Inclusive Movement for Every Child

On March 13, 2026, the MOVE4BRAIN project – “Beyond sport through a ‘No Brain, No Gain’ project: The Beautiful Minds” – launched its first practical workshop at the Center za komunikacijo, sluh in govor Portorož, focusing on inclusive approaches to movement and development in children with special needs.

The workshop aimed to enhance the knowledge and competencies of professionals working with children with special needs by introducing adapted motor activities that support both motor and cognitive development. Through hands-on activities and practical demonstrations, participants explored how structured and enriched movement can be effectively used to stimulate development, learning, and participation.

Children actively took part in the session, providing a meaningful real-life context for professionals to observe and engage with motor-cognitive approaches tailored to diverse needs. The workshop highlighted the importance of inclusive, evidence-based practices in promoting holistic child development.

This event represents the first in a series of international workshops, which will be carried out across partner countries with a shared objective: to strengthen professional competencies and promote innovative, inclusive methodologies in working with children.

MOVE4BRAIN is implemented through a strong European partnership, coordinated by Alma Mater Europaea University (Lead Partner), in collaboration with AETOI Thessaloniki and PlayMore.

Co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Sport programme, the project reflects a shared vision: supporting every child in their unique developmental journey through adapted movement, inclusion, and meaningful participation.
